❓Frequently Asked Questions

Some FAQ that no one asked but might turn out being useful

When does my server stop?

Each server stops after 12 minutes of inactivity (no players online). (Abusing that fact to keep the server always online for no reason will result in server suspension)

What is Optimized Chunk Rendering and why is it good for my server?

Optimized chunk rendering wherever supported, utilizes the FartherViewDistancearrow-up-right plugin to achieve up to 31 chunks of render distance when your server is not overloaded!

This is ideal for a survival server, as you will just wait a couple more seconds on every server start and then you will enjoy that extremely far render distance at almost no performance cost afterwards! Each time you play on the server it will keep getting faster and faster by saving the new chunks and dynamically adapting to your world's needs!

This method utilizes the server's swap memory and the unused CPU of your server instance to make the rendering dynamic and more beneficial for mostly the players but also the server.

The only disadvantage of that method is that if you want to start flying around newly generated chunks at high speed you will most likely have to slow down after a while.

As you will notice though if you look back even while flying fast, the traversed chunks remain loaded on the client and do not start disappearing after going far as the default rendering does.

| HOW TO PERMANENTLY REMOVE IT : If you decide that for a reason that is not really helpful for you, do /menu to open the Main Menu inside your server, then open the Plugin Manager and uninstall "FartherViewDistance". Restarting your server will also disable our custom configuration for the optimized chunk rendering. If you'd like to have it back afterwards open a ticket at our Discord Serverarrow-up-right.

Servers without Optimized Chunk Rendering are using the default Minecraft Render Algorithm and send to the player 8-12 chunks as set currently for every not optimized rendering version in order to lower the CPU impact.

Can cracked Minecraft accounts join the network?

No, we do not allow that mainly for security reasons as well for server resources abuse protection.

Random people from the network are joining my server. How can I prevent that?

To prevent such scenarios you will need to setup your server whitelist and enable it. Add players into your whitelist with /whitelist add <playername> and then enable your whitelist with /whitelist on.

Else you can use the GUI to add your friends into the whitelist. Do /menu then select Whitelist Management. You can now click on the skull at the top right corner to add players into your whitelist, then use the oak_door to enable or disable the whitelist.

I would like to use *this* plugin, can you add it into the Plugin Manager?

We probably can, open a ticket on our Discord Serverarrow-up-right to let us know of the resource and it might be added into the GUI.

Where are the servers located?

The servers are located in Helsinki, Finland.

Why did I receive a weird message when first joining the network?

Each time you change your network IP we have to analyze the connection and make sure it is not part of a bot attack network.

Process is automatic and just requires you join the server again. It rarely occurs and help secure everyone's server!

I am a Free Plan/Tier user, but I just claimed my Discord Boost monthly reward perks. When will my server specifications update to the upgraded ones?

The new server specifications will take effect the next time your server starts up.
